A High Performance Driving Education (HPDE) event lets you drive your street car or track vehicle on a professional race circuit in a controlled, safe environment. It is NOT wheel-to-wheel racing — it is disciplined driver education focused on learning the racing line, braking thresholds, vehicle dynamics, and having an unforgettable weekend. No competition license or prior track experience required.

Absolutely not! Our Novice group (Group A) is specifically engineered for first-timers. We pair you with an experienced in-car coach ($50/day) who rides in your passenger seat, teaching you the line, corner turn-in cones, braking points, and paddock etiquette. Most of our regular drivers started with zero track experience.

Almost any modern production car or sports car in sound mechanical condition is eligible. Coupes, sedans, hatchbacks, and performance SUVs are welcome. The car must pass our pre-event safety inspection: adequate brake pad thickness (minimum 50%), fresh brake fluid (within 6 months), good tire tread with no cords showing, tight wheel bearings, secure battery hold-down, and zero fluid leaks.

Track day pricing varies by venue and weekend, typically $300 to $800 per day depending on the circuit (Sebring, Homestead-Miami, Road Atlanta, Roebling Road). Novice in-car coaching is an incredible value at just $50/day. Unlike other clubs, TDX charges ZERO annual membership fees—ever.

Drivers are grouped strictly by verified experience to maintain safe, predictable traffic on track: Group A (Novice with Coach & Solo Novice), Group B (Intermediate), Group C (Advanced), and Group D (Test & Tune / Unrestricted). You will only share the circuit with drivers at your skill level. Group promotions are earned through coach check-rides and chief instructor evaluations.

Passing safety is paramount. Group A passes only on designated straightaways with an explicit point-by from the car ahead. Group B passes anywhere on track with a point-by (corner passing optional). Group C requires point-bys anywhere on track including corners with zero hold-ups. Group D is open passing without point-bys. Dive-bombing or aggressive passing triggers an immediate black flag.

Flags are the direct communication line between the race control tower, corner stations, and your cockpit. Green = track clear; Standing Yellow = caution ahead, no passing; Waving Yellow = extreme caution / hazard on circuit; Debris (Yellow/Red stripes) = slippery surface; Black = pit-in immediately for instruction; Red = safely come to a controlled stop on the edge of the track in sight of a flag station; Checkered = session finished, cool-down lap.

All drivers must wear a Snell SA2020 or SA2025 rated automotive helmet (motorcycle M-rated helmets and expired SA2015 helmets are strictly prohibited). Drivers and passengers must wear long pants (cotton or fire-resistant preferred), closed-toe shoes, and a sleeved shirt. For harness-equipped vehicles, an approved head-and-neck restraint (HANS device) is strongly recommended.

No. Track Day Xperience is strictly a non-timed High Performance Driving Education (HPDE) event. There is no timed scoring, no transponder loops, and no wheel-to-wheel competition. This ensures our events comply fully with HPDE commercial insurance standards and protect your personal track day insurance coverage.

Navigate to our Schedule page (/events), select your event weekend, choose your run group and optional add-ons (such as in-car coaching or Event Cancellation Insurance), and complete checkout. Your registration is confirmed instantly with direct receipt and gate speed-pass issued to your email.

ECI protects your investment against mechanical breakdowns, work conflicts, or family emergencies. ECI guarantees 100% of your registration fee as an in-house credit valid for one full year. You can cancel for any reason before midnight the day before the event. Introductory rates: Annual ECI is $99, Single Day is $25, Two-Day is $40.

Without ECI, our standard tiered policy applies: 30+ days before the event: full credit or refund less a $35 processing fee; 10 to 29 days before: full credit or refund less a $100 fee; 9 days or less: no refunds or credits can be issued due to non-refundable track facility rental commitments. ECI overrides this policy entirely.

Log into your DriveTDX account and navigate to My Account. Under the Profile tab, you can update your phone, emergency contact, and driving experience. Under the Garage tab, you can add multiple vehicles with their make, model, color, wheel torque specs, and preferred paddock car numbers.

Yes, under specific safety guidelines: both drivers must be solo-approved, drive in the same run group, provide a completed tech inspection sheet, and hold approved Snell SA2020+ helmets. Car sharing is NOT permitted in the Novice group (Group A) due to mandatory coaching session schedules.

Solo-approved drivers in Groups B, C, and D may carry adult passengers (age 18+) who have signed the passenger liability waiver and received a passenger wristband. Passengers must wear an approved Snell SA2020+ helmet. Drivers carrying passengers must drive at no more than 7/10ths pace to prioritize passenger safety.
